Day Two: The Auckland shore

My second day in Auckland was a bit more leisurely. Again we had breakfast at The Station, then set out in the car for the beach. There was no parking at Mission Bay...




...so we stopped a little further down the road, I think at Kohimarama, where I picked up some nice shells for my mermaid-themed bathroom.

We then drove a bit further up the winding coast to Achilles Point.

On our way to a housewarming BBQ at some friends' of Blair's (no photos!), we stopped at the supermarket, where I noticed this sign. Even Blair had never encountered the term "trundler" for a shopping cart/trolley!
