Day Eighteen Part One: Stewart Island Sea Birds

We had a full day and another night on Stewart Island, the southernmost part of New Zealand, and in the morning set off on a pelargic cruise. Spotted a pair of Fjordland Crested Penguins, climbing down from some rocks:








A Sooty Petrel (Where's Sweep?) (I think only those who grew up in the UK will get that!)





White-capped (Shy) Albatross landing...









A whole lotta shakin was going on...





I believe (though I could be wrong) that that is a Salvin's (Shy) Albatross on the right with the greyer head. We did see both types that day.
