Day Eighteen Part Two: Ulva Island forest walk

We went for a walk in the rainy rain forest. I got into photographing mosses and lichen on tree bark.




As well as raindrops on leaves...














No, I did not stumble upon a dead body or somebody doing yoga on the path. That's Rob from our group using his macro lens.






This New Zealand robin was hopping up and down beside the path. It turned out he wanted someone to use their boot to scrape off the top layer of leaves so he could more easily get to the bugs. Once he cleared a patch, he would hop up and down again until someone cleared another bit.

Another robin; this one was even more insistent!











At the end of the walk I started messing around with filters on my Olympus camera...
